The
Kinoulton Players are, you guessed it, based in Kinoulton,
a
small(ish) village in Nottinghamshire.
We are a group of
enthusiastic amateurs, mostly locals with a few imported stars,
who put on an annual Pantomime or show. Our efforts raise funds
to improve the village amenities and for local charities, whilst
also providing ourselves and our audiences with lots of fun.
Originally started
by the Kinoulton Cricket Club, the Kinoulton Players in one
format or another have been performing shows for over decade,
and our repertoire has varied from traditional Pantos to more
modern themes like Grease and The Addams Family.
Our scripts,
although based on traditional tales, are written by local folk
with a comedy bent. Where possible the staging, music and
costumes are also made or borrowed by local talent.
The nucleus for
individual script ideas are often formed in the local pub, with
rehearsals being at the village hall or cricket club.
If you are local
and interested in performing, helping or just selling or buying
tickets
